Weekly Weigh-IN

February 23 Weigh-In

Karen - Wahoo!!! I'm down 1/2 a pound! E-i-e-i-o!!!! Yes, a blessed 182 .5/ sickening isn't it. I just am not being faithfull . I know. I still snack and I KNOW that is a no-no. Ugh. but I'm still excercising. yea me.

Bonnie-I am finally down from my 220 to 218 BUT I have been going up down so I am not holding my breath to stay here. However comma I did run 1/4 mile for the first time and I plan to do that twice a week now so I am stepping it up. Karen, snacking is not a no-no! It is what you snack on that makes or breaks you.

Christine- Since I'm not weighing myself I decided to give myself a grade every day, and I will post my weekly GPA. So this last week my grades were A F B B A A A, and my GPA is 3.14. I'm sure next week it'll be MUCH better. I hope I'm losing something! I realized that 3 lbs a week doesn't make sense after all, if I lost that much I'd be losing muscle as well as fat. But if I can just do 2 lbs a week for 8 weeks, that would put me at 170, which is my wedding weight!!

Karen - Christine, that is so clever to think of giving yourself a GPA ; I love it! I am afraid I would fail too often but maybe I will try that anyway. Maybe it would help me look at this differently.

Monday Feb. 16

Bonnie: Don't ask!

Christine- I have no idea! I was gettting into a bad cycle of trying hard for a couple days, getting frustrated because the scale didn't reflect my efforts, and losing all my motivation and slacking off. So now I've vowed to stay away from the scale for the next 8 weeks! I'll still come and "weigh in" as to whether I'm sticking to my plan though.

Karen: I am still at 183. But still trying, Hey, I thought I was getting e0-mail updates that Sarah was on here. Isn't she???

Feb. 9 Weigh-In

So I keep forgetting to post even though I did weigh-in on Monday.
Bonbon: No gain, no loss. Last week I did a good job of reducing my sugar intake and of course I'm walking 2 miles most days.

Christine- I went down a pound, then back up. I'm pretty frustrated. It's so hard to keep caring when I eat perfectly and exercise TONS and nothing HAPPENS! Gah!

Let's get started!

Welcome to the Biggest Loser, Rowley style: The Extended Family Version!

Let's post all of our goals on this post (click the little pencil or go to the dashboard and click edit posts) I suggest putting down your goal, how much time you plan to do it in, your plan of action, and what you're going to do with your reward money!

Then from now on every monday we'll do a weigh-in post. Post your weight if you want, or just the change for that week. And you can post whatever else your goal might be (exercise time, etc.)

Just so you know, this blog is pretty private. It's not officially private (like sarah's blog) but it's not in the blog listings and it's not searchable with search engines, so the only way to get here is to know the address.

Feel free to start a new post any time to ask questions, give advice, or just prattle on.

GOALS:

Christine: Get to 160 in 8 weeks, by March 30. Today's weight: 181.2. I plan to eat CRAZY healthy, very little carbs and practically no sweets, tons of produce and protein, and less than 1200 calories per day. Also I'll be exercising twice a day, about 40 minutes in the morning and 50-60 at night. I don't have a plan for my $20 quite yet, but I do plan on going on a huge shopping spree (for clothes of course!) in St. George as soon as the weight is off.

Bonnie: To get below 200. Right now I'm at 220 and I don't play football. I plan to continue walking 2 miles 5 days/week and I will add some isolated exercises too (sit ups, push-ups, etc.). I will begin to lower my sugar intake by having it only once per day for now. I love vegetables and yet I have been delinquent with them. So, a huge jump in veggie intake everyday (4 cups) and no red meat (my fave!).

Karen: OK, here I am. I'm so glad to see that Bonnie has joined us! Welcome! As fo Me, I have been from 173 last summer up to 186 and down to 179.5 last saturday. BUt now the evil scale says 183 again which it has been for a couple of weeks. So I guess I will start at 183. I am exercising regularly at the gym four or five times weekly, walking at least 45 minutes or using the weight training machines. I really like them. they help me feel 'stwong"! I will keep up on this but try to increase it too. I will cut back on the carbs - i love them. And focus on more veggies and fruits and high protiens. My goal is to be at 172 by March 16 because that is when Don and I leave for HAWAII!! I already bought a new swimming suit which I really must not let anyone see me in now (ick) and I can't find my old one. So it's either lose the weight or go naked. We'll just have to seee what happens!
